Wolverine & Iron Man...the anime

After realizing that I was NOT a fan of Wolverine's mullet, and watching both trailers, I can, honestly say that the Iron Man anime looks 100x more interesting. It's got that old 70s feel to it with a very modern execution.

The Wolverine one...it feels very 80s, but it feels pretty...I don't know...campy, cliche? (For lack of better words...) It is Madhouse so I should have more faith in it.

I know that they won't do an X-Men one, but wouldn't it be awesome to have that animated in Japan? I would mostly be holding out for the awesome fight scenes considering that they do have some kick ass, flashy powers.

Though...that would mean I would have to buy all of these Marvel anime DVDs that are coming out wouldn't it?

Otakon...and New York Anime Fest

Safely returned from Otakon only having to deal with a few detours and getting lost somewhere in Pennsylvania rather having to deal with the heavy traffic from the NJ Turnpike.

Otakon was really nice and a lot of fun. I met a lot of great people and got some great artwork from the Artist Alley. I only saw three songs from the Kanon Wakashima concert where she decided to entertain everyone by playing her cello and doing some weird interpretative dance in this HUGE red dress. I missed the AMVs again. =( That's the one thing I actually enjoy doing at every convention. I missed the Dealers' Room, but I seem to be making it there less and less every year.

I am going to be New York Anime Fest this year. Also, there's not going to be any MangaNext this year so I need another con. Has anyone ever been to AnimeUSA? I guess it would be a little weird to head up to Virginia in October? I always wanted to visit though I wish it could have been the beach...

R.I.P. Michael Jackson ;_____;

You know, I was really looking forward to those London concerts and all the new stuff he was about to come out with. I know that his popularity had waned during the mid to late 90s and all in the 2000s, but having grown up with his music and music videos, he had a special place in my heart and on all of my playlists.

Really corny I know, but even though I didn't know him personally, I felt a piece of my childhood die yesterday when I found out. In his wake he did manage to inspire a whole new generation of performers.

Though it is kinda sad that a lot of kids today only know him as being a pedo, and will never have gotten to experience the awesomeness that his music and performances from 1970s - the early 90s. I'm not saying whether he was or wasn't, but the man was musical genius, as far as I'm concerned, and there probably won't be anyone like him for a loooooooong time.

For the mean time I can even appreciate that In Living Color Am I Black or White skit even more now. =D

So after almost 2 years...

...One of my pieces was removed for a TOS violation. I realized that I was in the wrong in this case so it's all right. That would make this the third piece I've had removed here. One of the early two wasn't in direct violation though. It was just a case of the staff member reviewing the case being a complete pervert and took it in a way that I had never intended it to.

Either way, life goes on.

I was stuck home today b/c I got ill yesterday and I need to get better so I don't have to be a homebody anymore.

In the meantime just, continually, adding more artwork, getting as much done as possible.
